2064.14 Charlotte roster shakeup continues

The Charlotte bullpen has been struggling. They currently have the 14th ranked ERA among JL bullpens at 6.37. The starters haven't been much better, sitting 12th at 5.30. Most of the starters have track records that indicate they should be fine. The bullpen is a bit more of a question mark.

With that in mind, general manager Nathan Garrison saw Kelly Calhoun on the waiver wire and immediately put in a claim. Then, not wanting to wait and hope to be the winning claim, Garrison reached out to Atlantic City to try to strike a deal for Calhoun instead.

Atlantic City agreed to send Calhoun to the Flyers in exchange for 21 year old first baseman Bernardo Sanchez.

Sanchez was discovered in Venezuela in 2059 and first joined the Rookie League Buzzards in 2062, struggling to a .518 OPS. He was much better in 2063, with an OPS of .974 and 15 home runs in 57 games.

Calhoun is a 26 year old right handed pitcher with a good sinker and a great curve. He was very good with Nashville in 2062 but has not been as good since then. He will be given an opportunity to show what he can do as a member of the Charlotte bullpen going forward.

To make room for Calhoun, the Flyers have waived Rick Parsons.
