It's like Uno except everyone hates everyone else more.

It’s definitely different. Free agency is the big ticket.

If you can find anything but médiocre on the waiver wire you're a good man. Free Agency is your best buddy, I regularly sign 2-3 players a month from there

I mean, the entire league is medicore as it's supposed to be. Some guys that are solid stars in this league would be AA/AAA fodder at BBA level. I HATE building a team via FA but seems the only option.

Now I’m the opposite lol, I love building it through other people’s reject FAs.

When I was in Kuwait City I signed a couple really late season, like postseason, free agents from BBA. I don’t think many people were paying attention at the time so I signed them to three year deal and front loaded their contract, which was virtually free, and remaining two years were reasonable. I think Weaver Ridley was one of them.

Umeba reminds me of the Korean/Japanese leagues some of the talents go to when they can’t catch a break in mlb with the hopes of returning after a little break.

Which is probably their idea but in all reality most who cross the divide into the UMEBA are either old, broken BBA players on their last legs or A or AA players who fall miles short of ever developing into a BBA level player. Anybody who really has a chance of making it BBA >UMEBA >BBA never makes it to us, they are either horded in AAA or AA until there’s absolutely no chance of any development
