Can we offer extensions to players now?

I'll stick this in the UMEBA chatter section and see who finds it since it applies to my Cairo squad. I'm finally getting settled in to my big league roster and entire minor league system and there are a select few guys I'd like to lock down. I have $5 million in spare cash and some guys are willing to sign one year extensions in the game. I was wondering...is that ok/legal to do now? Or do I have to wait for a specific time...say the offseason?

Extensions can be signed any time of year, provided they are legal extensions. (See the Constitution)

Pretty much any 1 year extension will be legal.

It would certainly have been useful had I thought to open up the constitution! My mistake there, I should have. But this was helpful - many thanks.
