Leading the way after one sim is Cairo with a 6-1 record while Manama, Jerusalem & Bucharest are hot on their tails all with a 5-2 record.

The hot batter out of the blocks is Mumbai's first baseman Toshio Tasguchi who leads 11 offensive categories, but no-one has pulled away yet from the pack with their pitching. In the field three first basemen, in Bagdad, Cairo & Bucharest, have posted a range over 10.00 while two catchers, Melton (Manama) & Luo (Cairo), have a CERA below 3.00, their nearest rival has a 3.91 CERA.

Jeff Cunningham has 4-game RBI and 7-game scoring streaks active. Cairo reliever Jose Carrillo has a 15-game undefeated streak on the boil, approaching the UMEBA all-time streak of 18 held by another Cairo pitcher, Roberto Gomez. He also has a 7-game undefeated streak going. Bagdad's Lucas Beech has an 11-game save streak going too, chased by Cairo's Abel Gibson who has nine but is currently being used in the Chariot Archer's rotation.

Cairo is the early UMEBA leader in homers (13) and runs scored (55). Their team batting average of .345 is .026 ahead of Mumbai's .316 team batting. Cairo's team OPS of .953 just tops Bagdad's .854 and Jerusalem's .839. Manama's & Bagdad's pitchers have been keeping the ball in the park with only 5 homers allowed early on while Bucharest has only walked eight batters in the opening games. Bucharest lead's the UMEBA having turned 12 double-plays, just ahead of Manama's 10 but Istanbul has been racking up the errors with 11 in the first sim.
