After a thorough sweep of several continents, the office of Naim Diya al Din announced that Drew Visscher, 54, was selected from a wide pool of candidates to serve as President of Baseball Operations at the Ballpark of Bucharest.
Unknown to the UMEBA, Visscher is rumored to either have nepotistic connections or conspicuous blackmail against the ownership, as his selection comes with little experience and even less explanation.
Visscher takes the helm of a robust franchise with ten playoff appearances in thirteen years, but only one United Cup. In a brief interview with Romania Today, from the baseball of the Ballpark of Bucharest, Visscher expressed "extreme gratitude" for his selection and assured Romanian fans he would "brief the fan base on his chosen strategy" once he "figured out where his office was."
Look for an interview on VladCast, Romania's #1 UMEBA Podcast, with Visscher from Bucharest's own Robert Bengescu later in the week as the Imaplers finish their series with Mumbai and head home for three games against #1 Cairo.
