A Stake to me heart --- 2044 be best season yet with this lineup! 2044:01

So, my five seasons managing --- all five we make playoffs. Pretty good, right?

I wish could claim credit all me. But no, that due to John Day as manager. His total record as manager? 492-284 (.634 pct). Even I not that good. Because of that, I hire him for 3-year extension at unheard-of 1.2 million per year. But no worry, he worth every penny.

The other reason? Good players. Last season, we completely remake team with young players. And this year it payoff --- I guarantee. In all five years of playoffs, we never win championship. This year that might change. We also get some good free agents to help out.

Below is our starting players for each position, with notes for each. When slash

C: Hotha Popo
We sign him for 2 years fo $8 million and he worth it. He work nearly every count to 4-something --- 4-0, 4-1, 4-3, 4-3. He no hit ball too good, but he get on base a lot.

1B: Jay Gamble
He hit (.310/.417/.471) last year, total 3.3 WAR at 1B. Spring training even better: (.371/.487/.565)

2B: Freddy McCord/Carlos Camacho platoon
After McCord less-than-stellar rookie season(-0.5 WAR) , we pick up Carlos Camacho as free agent for 5.2 million per year. We start with platoon, but if Camacho lives up to hype, he might claim 2B full-time.

3B: Anastacio Diaz/Vincente Archuleta platoon
Diaz have pretty good year last year (.294/.334/.537, 2.5 WAR) and he join by new free agent Vincente Archuleta who sign $4m/2 year contract in offseason. Archuleta can hit, but no great shakes in field.

SS: Jeremy Owbridge/Rakim Stevenson platoon
Shortstop might be best position on whole team this year. We draft him in second round of 2041 draft and at only 18 years old, he September callup last year. He turn heads with (.389/.458/.597, 1.0 WAR) in only 83 PAs. But we also pick up defensive gem Rakim Stevenson (.288/.334/.385, 1.3 WAR full-time action) from Cairo in expansion draft, so what to do? I don't know, for now we platoon them, but happy to trade Rakim if another team give enough.

LF: Mitch Dalrymple another big free agent signing ($9.3 million/3 years). In nearly full-time use in BBA last season he show line of (.265/.305/.396, -0.5 WAR). Our scouts think he do much better in UMEBA, maybe win batting crown. And he no slouch in field either. Our LF from last year, Primio Anastcia (.284/.334/.474, 1.9 WAR) wait in wings for his chance if Dalrymple get hurt or falters.

CF: Rafael Mullet/Julio Soriano platoon. 20-year old Mullett is rookie this year doing fantastic in single A last year. He defensive gem in Centerfield. Sophomore Julio Soriano get -0.1 WAR in second half of season last year in Bucharest after posting 0.7 WAR at Luanda for most of year.

RF: Ricardo Esparza 's rookie season last year show real promise (.305/.367/.474, 2.8 WAR). Expect even more this year.

DH: Vincente Archuleta/Donald Chambers platoon.
Archuleta play 3B against lefties, but he one of best hitters on team, maybe. Donald Chambers is rookie/ spend last season at Luanda.

There we have it! Our lineup for 2044.
