In a hastily called press conference, Jerusalem team ownership introduced the new head of the defending champions’ front office, Mark Becker. Tasked with retooling significant portions of one of the UMEBA’s most successful franchises, Becker has a tall order to fill but did not seem dismayed.
“First and foremost, I’m honored to have been entrusted with such a well respected ball club,” Becker explained. “Sure it’s a tough time to jump into things as free agency has already begun and we’re on the eve of the Rule V, but there’s a lot to learn before we can do anything of substance.”
Asked where he is focusing the most attention early, Becker remarked that there seem to be major holes in the rotation and bullpen, as well as a concerning lack of depth in the field. With the team barely at half of the salary cap, however, the resources appear to be plentiful for Becker to fill whatever gaps and push this team to a third consecutive title game.

Great to see the newer GMs start producing some nice content. And great that it seems my old Hammers franchise appears to be in good hands…
