THE Hammer 2049.11: New Hammers GM
April 14, 2049
It definitely valued the previous GM who left for another opportunity and for the work he accomplished in the past 3 plus seasons as they saw more wins than it had in some time. The Hammers were sad to see him go as they appreciated his service and wished him well in his future endeavor. This left a vacancy for the organization to fill. They wanted to find a GM who didn't quite fit the mold of your Theo Epsteins' of the world which would not have hurt yet still get a few more wins and less losses to give the fans more to cheer about in the years to come. In its 11 year existence the Hammers has seen a few ebbs and flows much like a roller coaster when its was good it was and likewise in the poor category. Four playoff appearances since its last UMEBA championship the Hebrew Hammers felt like it needed a change moving forward to more consistency much like the previous GM had done.
In Jerusalem today, after the team come out of the gate with a 5-6 start the Hebrew Hammers in a shocking turn of events hired a new GM. The GM selected was none other than Will Moore who has a little bit of experience from other leagues to bring to the table hoping he has the right recipe for success in UMEBA. At the press conference upon the announcement he wanted to thank the current management for giving him this opportunity and appreciated the players that were given him to start with from the previous management. He knows that there is still a long learning curve to learn the UMEBA game and player universe. He anticipates some time and effort on his part and current management to sculpt the organization into one of which that will change the landscaping of Jerusalem baseball for years to come.
