The baseball gods took another hand-blender to the middle of the BURT standings. The Hammers 7-game win streak ended, but another one started, then lost the first 3 of 4 to Baghdad. It's getting interesting in any case as the Manama Pearls pulled to within 8.5 of the league-leading Beirut Cedars. Jerusalem stayed on their tail by 2.

Setup pitchers don't get many call outs...except when something goes wrong. Well, Kraft had an excellent Sim when called on 4 times. He made 4 appearances fanning 3, with no walks or hits allowed. He even got a win for his efforts. SP Hsuang-tsung Xú and SP Edwin Harney each had a dominate start and fell apart in a the next game.
