THE Hammer

Jerusalem, Israel

HAMMERS OF THE SIM - SIM #8

A 4-5 record is not great, but after last Sim's 1-6 we'll take it. Now the Hammers' are 5 games back of Manama for the wild card. Hopefully the team can find some fire and at least provide a challenge.

Pitcher
Image
SP Gary Goodchild
10 GS 2-5 4.45 ERA 1.36 WHIP +1.1 WAR

We're going to give Goodchild a mulligan on his disastrous first start of the Sim and focus on the positive. In his 2nd start on the last day of Sim #9, Goodchild's knuckleball was consistent as he went into Beirut and he allowed 0 runs on 7 hits in 8.1 innings. Even thought the game ended in a 1-0 loss in the 10th inning.

Batter

LF Dane Licht
.325/.429/.544 HR 7 25 RBI +1.6 WAR

Licht was out to take Backhouse's weekly attention and he did so. Licht slashed .423/.444/.731 in 6 games with 2 HR and 8 RBI.
