PITCHER OF THE SIM - SIM #5
Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers 15 16 .484 5.5 GB
It was yet another great Sim with the Hammers taking care of business. Going 5-2 in 7 games, Jerusalem pulled into 5.5 games back of the Beirut Cedars for the BANC lead. There's much to do, however, as they are tied with the Manama Pearls and just 2 and 3 games ahead of Riyadh and Baghdad, respectfully. The defense is coming into its own, slower than desired, and that has put the Hammers in close games with an excellent back-end of the bullpen.
SP Edwin Harney
6 GS 3-3 2.63 ERA 0.98 WHIP +0.9 WAR
Harney captures our attention yet again with a winning effort at home vs. Manama on the 2nd. The offense put 5 runs on the board in the first two innings and that helps to put a young rookie in a groove. That it did as Harney allowed only 4 hits and 2 runs over 7 innings with 4 Ks. His maturity and proven ability to manage games whether he's ahead or not are opening eyes in the UMEBA.
