Pitching was the root of all struggles in 2047. Even when they pitched well the defense behind them wasn't a sieve but a Salad Shooter. We're not even going to look at the bullpen because we value our sanity. That said, Hammers' management knew what they had coming into the season and decided to roll with that. We're not here to judge. Wait, we are.
Jerusalem had two dependable options at the top of the rotation in Hsuang-tsung Xu and Gary Goodchild. Both pitched well enough and had BABIP which doesn't put either of them more or less lucky. They have essentially the same ERA, WHIP, and other traditional metrics. So we'll have to go to the advanced view which shows Goodchild posting a 4.0 WAR compared to Xu's 2.9. That's not even allowing for Xu tossing close to 35 more innings. That'll work for us...
