THE Hammer 2047.13: HotS - Sim #24

THE Hammer
3 Aug 2047
Jerusalem, Israel

HAMMERS OF THE SIM - SIM #24
Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers 76 73 .510 11.5 GB
7 games: 5-2

And suddenly we have an all-out brawl for the WC in the BURT league. An above-average Sim, combined with a below .500 Sim for Baghdad, put the Hammers 1.0 GB in the WC race. And the Manama Pearls are in there as well being only 2 games Baghdad. The schedules are in Jerusalem's favor with all home games to end the season. The Hammers just have to squeeze enough out of their average rotation and horrid bullpen to support the #1 offense in the league.

Pitcher

SP Gary Goodchild
25 G, 10-7, 3.13 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 3.6 WAR

But, as usual for him, Goodchild shed any need for the bullpen by shutting out Mumbai for 7 innings allowing only 3 hits while striking out 8. The bullpen did allow a run to tie the game, but the Hammers offense plated 2 for the win.

Hitter

LF Dane Licht
55 G, 2.6 WAR, 345/.417/.646, 12 HR

This rookie keeps raking and setting his spot in the lineup with cement. In the 6 games of this Sim, Licht slashed .444/.500/.944 with 1 triple and 8 RBI. Yes, that's 8 RBI in 6 games.
