HAMMERS OF THE SIM - SIM #18
Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers 71 71 .500 12.5 GB WC: 3.5
6 games: 4-2
The Hammers are actually in a postseason race. They have held steady around .500 as the Baghdad Kings have slipped a bit to shrink their cushion to 3.5 games. Jerusalem also has to hold off the Manama Pearls who are a half game ahead of the Hammers. It will be compelling as the team has a 3-game set in Manama and closes out the season with a home series against Baghdad. The Hammers have to get their pitching staff to step up, though, if they plan to make that push as the offense is dominating the BURT league.
Pitcher

SP Leon Ludemon
SP Leon Ludemon had a superb outing vs Manama as he piled up 6 Ks while allowing only 3 hits and 1 run in 6 innings of work. He will be a key piece to keep an eye on as the Wild Card race plays out.
Hitter

1B Adam Backhouse
Pretty much every Sim belongs to slugger Adam Backhouse or rookie Dan Licht (who is making a strong case for Rookie of the Year in the BURT). We'll go with the vet this time as he bagged 3 HR driving in 5 runs and slashing .450/.450/.950.
Sim #23: SP Leon Ludemon, 1B Adam Backhouse
Sim #22: SP Gary Goodchild, LF Dane Licht
Sim #21: SP Jaypee Estancia, LF Dane Licht
Sim #20: SP You-cheng Hang, 1B Adam Backhouse
Sim #19: SP Leon Ludeman, 2B Richard Drouin
Sim #18: RP JoaquÃn Romano, 2B Danny Glatz
