THE Hammer 2047.2: HotS - Sim #18

THE Hammer
3 Aug 2047
Jerusalem, Israel
**********************************

HAMMERS OF THE SIM - SIM #18
Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers 58 53 .523 3.5 GB
6 games: 3-3

The Hammers were 100% who we think they are this Sim. And that happens to be maddeningly mediocre. Jerusalem went 3-3 as they took the last of a 3-game series in Riyadh, then made a layover (play dead) to get swept in Manama, and then had a day off to travel to Athens where they took the first 2 games of a 3-gamer in 12 & then 11 innings. 3.5 GB is not insurmountable by any means, but the Hammers' pitching staff and defense (especially the defense) need to show signs of life to support the best offense in the BURT if the Hammers are going to make the playoffs.

Pitcher
Image
32yo RP Joaquín Romano (37 G, 2-3, 3 SV, 3.50 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 1.2 WAR)

Romano was more than your solid middle reliver this week. With only 3 SPs taking their turns into the 6th inning, he responded by tossing 5.2 innings allowing 1 H, 1 BB, and 1K. Tough to be a more solid bridge than that.

Hitter
Image
22yo 2B Danny Glatz (.318 wOBA, 124 OPS+, .319/.295/.407, 6 HR, 29 RBI, 23 SB)

Glatz was certainly not mediocre this week posting a .404 wOBA with a .429 AVG, 1 HR, and 2 RBI

Sim #18: RP Joaquín Romano, 2B Danny Glatz
Ben Teague, GM Boise Spuds
2834-3334, .459 PCT (6,168 games, 47 seasons)
12 Playoff Appearances, 1 Championship, 2 GM of the Year
