The Metro Stars enter the Month of May on a hot streak riding an 8-2 record in their last ten games, but all is not bolly in the financial capital of India. Baltasar Fronteiro, the 33-year old SS from El Limon (The Lemon!), Venezuela has been lost for two months due to a fractured Hamate bone (its a hand bone if you're wondering).
Fronteiro has been solid over 108 PAs posting a slash line of .284/.361/.526 and more importantly, was the Metro Stars only real choice at SS. Looking ahead, expect Mumbai to call up Toshio Taguchi to replace the lost offense but questions remain how they will handle the defensive hole created at shortstop.
