Highlights: The Mumbai Metro Stars nipped the Bucharest Balauri 3-2 Friday, thanks to some clutch hitting by third baseman Robbie Hart. The teams were tied at 2 heading into the bottom of the 6th when Mumbai put two runners on with a single and a HBP. Hart then drilled a 3-1 fastball for a sharp grounder past the shortstop, driving in what proved to be the winning run.

Player of the Game: Gilbert Hansen, Mumbai second baseman, who went 2 for 3 and scored two runs.
Cliché of the Game: “If you ever get this game figured out, let me know,” said Bucharest Manager Moses Tallchief.

Highlights: Bucharest took a slugfest from Mumbai Saturday, scoring 2 runs in the top of the 9th to win 10-9. Second baseman Edgardo Pagán went 3 for 5 with a home run and two singles, driving in 3 runs to help pace the attack. Right fielder Mark Brown hit the decisive blow in the 9th, however, when he hit a 2-run homer off Mumbai closer Rafael Cruz to put the Balauri in the lead.

Highlights: The Metro Stars crushed Bucharest 13-5 Sunday evening to take the series two games to one. Designated Hitter Charles Ellis keyed the Mumbai offense, going 4 for 4 with a 3-run home run and three singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored 3 on the day.

Cliché of the Game: “Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse,” Ellis said.
