Highlights: The Mumbai Metro Stars won a tense pitchers’ duel Monday evening, edging out the Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers 1-0 behind a brilliant performance from controversial free agent Aurelio Fernández. Although Metro Stars players balked at the addition of Fernández, who has a reputation as a poor teammate and disruptive clubhouse presence, they couldn’t argue with his 8.0 innings of shutout ball on 5 hits and 9 strikeouts. The sole run came in the bottom of the 6th inning on a solo home run to right by first baseman Charles Ellis.

Player of the Game: Aurelio Fernández
Cliché of the Game: “I had pretty good command out there,” said Fernández.
