Highlight: Mumbai trailed 1-0 going into the top of the 4th inning, but scored twice to take a lead it would hold for good. DH Arthur Curry singled off Beirut starter R.J. Hughes, and then scored all the way from first on a line drive double to left off the bat of shortstop Garrett Barnett. Third baseman Robbie Hart singled to shallow center, moving Barnett to third. He scored a moment later when center fielder Michael MacCrain hit a sharp single between third and short.

Player of the Game: Armando Figueroa
Cliché of the Game: “We’ll relax tonight and enjoy this win,” said Michael MacCrain.

Highlight: The Beirut Cedars came from behind late to nip Mumbai in a tense game Saturday evening at the Ballpark of Beirut. The Cedars were trailing 2-1 in the 8th, when they parlayed two walks and a wild pitch from reliever Lyndon Rosebotham into runners at second and third with two outs. Mumbai brought in León González to face DH José González, who promptly singled home both runners.

Player of the Game: Takeshi Tanabe, Mumbai starter, who allowed 1 run and 5 hits in 7 innings of work.
Cliché of the Game: José González told the Beirut Daily News he was “satisfied” with the win.

Highlight: The Mumbai Metro Stars jumped on Beirut early, scoring 3 runs in the top of the 1st inning. A single and an error put runners at first and second with two outs for left fielder Alfredo González, who lifted a fly into the right field stands for a 3-run homer.

Cliché of the Game: “This is a very good team. We have the chance to do something special,” said Trovisqueira.
