Deuces were wild on the scoreboard at the Ballpark of Beirut Monday as the Cedars scored 2 runs in each of the 2nd, 4th, 6th and 7th innings to handily beat the Mumbai Metro Stars 8-4. Right fielder Frazer Western hit two doubles and drove in two runs, while left fielder Fred Carrier went 3-3 and scored three runs. Mumbai starting pitcher Orlando Núñez struggled, yielding 6 hits and 4 earned runs in 5.2 innings pitched.

The Metro Stars scored 4 runs in the top of the 3rd inning to take a lead they would never relinquish en route to a 5-3 victory over Beirut on Tuesday. Two key blows in the inning were a leadoff single by third baseman Robbie Hart and a two-run single with the bases loaded by first baseman Charles Ellis off Beirut starter R.J. Hughes. Kevin Fowler picked up the win for Mumbai, pitching 4 innings of effective relief, allowing 0 runs and 1 hit while striking out 3.

Designated Hitter Wilbur Green led an offensive onslaught that carried Mumbai to a 5-4 win over the Beirut Cedars on Wednesday. Green cracked his 15th homer of the season, a two-run shot to left field off a Júlio Madrigal fastball. Green also hit a run-scoring single in the top of the 3rd inning. Mumbai starter Denilde Trovisqueira won his 7th game against no losses despite struggling through much of the evening. He last only 5.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits, 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. Madrigal didn’t fare much better for Beirut, allowing 5 runs on 9 hits in 5.2 innings.
