Strength in numbers

Last year's anticipated season took a quick and sudden turn to the basement of the division thanks to ravishing injuries, lack of depth and a terribly inconsistent lineup.
Roster construction over the most recent offseason focused on balancing rising talent with established starters while also creating a number of internal position battles with outside acquisitions in order to better steel ourselves for any adversity that may arise.
To accomplish this, mid-tier signings were utilized in favor of a big splash. Former BBA outfielder and Diamond Glover Miguel Montero and GBC vet Kim represent the highest paid mercenaries at $3 million each.
There are eight new faces to the organization on the active roster and more either on IL, designated for assignment or in Lagos.

The pitching staff - a fluid current

Sydney will be utilizing an unorthodox approach to its pitching in 2063. We're opening the season with our ace. Mayappan, and 12 relievers behind him. Our research suggests a particular mold of pitcher in certain doses can be highly effective in this league. We intend to test this theory with the hope it allows our staff more flexibility and fluidity without overly relying on any one arm.
It also gives us an opportunity to fill as many innings as possible with some of the GBC's most talented pitchers. Trzcinski is back in his traditional role and Reyes arrives as one the league's top prospects, a designation well-merited by the wicked circle change he wields.
Baker is another quality arm that will benefit from our system and vice versa. The two-time BBA All Star keeps the ball in the yard and rarely struggles with the zone.

Pups on the come up

IF Ilia Arakchaa remains the GBC's No. 2 prospect and will begin the year in Lagos (AAA). His ability to read the zone has improved, moving him and his elite glove skills one step closer to Australia.
SP Norman Durney is an Australian native, but will have to work his way back home from his newest assignment in Montevideo (AA). Durney has risen into to the top-10 of the prospect rankings, coinciding with the rise of his velocity at 97 mph with still more room for the 18-year-old to grow.
SP Ming Zhang shares a 2063 ETA with Arackchaa. Our 4th round pick last year, Zhang is highly developed already and could crack our Pack Pitching group soon with some mechanical improvement to his primary offerings.
