Recent press release from the London Monarchs new general manager:
“We are very excited to make our first move as the new GM of the London Monarchs. We brought in an experienced hand in Doug Glover who brings some championship experience with his 22 year career for our new hitting coach. Additionally, a new first base coach, Bob Townsend, brings some new perspective and one of the best infield defensive minds out there. I just felt we had some inconsistency in our coaching staff. Considering we aren’t where we would like to be in August, I decided it was a good time to shake things up and start building for the future. I wish our former coaches the best of luck.”
Since coming aboard, the team has had a very good week going 4-1 so far. Let’s hope this upward trend can continue.

Re: New GM shaking things up
Good luck with the Monarchs! I would agree some of the personnel was looking pretty shaky. Probably a good idea to get a head start on upgrading them.
