Beirut Cedars Reorganization and Rebranding (46.2)
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Beirut Cedars Reorganization and Rebranding
BEIRUT, Lebanon, October 22, 2047 – The Beirut Cedars Baseball Club announces a five-year, bottom to top reorganization and rebranding effort. This project will touch on all levels of baseball operations within the Cedars organization, starting this offseason with a rebranding of the club's Chinese Baseball League team, the Wuhan Brigadiers.
This will be a bottom up transformation, starting with Beirut's Rookie League club, and ending with the parent club in the 2050-51 offseason. All aspects of the clubs within the organization are subject to change, including location, nickname, and team colors. Current schedule for changes is as follows:
2047 Season: Wuhan Brigadiers
2048 Season: Ulaanbaatar Battalion
2049 Season: Lima Reyes
2050 Season: Victoria Purple Knights
2051 Season: Beirut Cedars
With respect to the Brigadiers, they will be known as the Wuchang Bream (Wǔchāng Yú). Wuchang, currently a district of Wuhan on the south bank of the Yangtze River, and home of the Brigadier's current ballpark, was formerly a city in its own right and important provincial capital. The Wuchang bream is a species of freshwater fish native to Yangtze basin, China. It is an important aquaculture species in this area. The club will remain in greater Wuhan City.
