A legend calls it a Career!!
Jose Estrada 1B for the Beirut Cedars, said in an emotional statement that he and his family had talked and that it was time for him to walk away from the game he has always loved. Estrada said he will always be grateful to the Omaha Barnstormers who originally gave him the opportunity to live out his childhood dream. Estrada ended up spending 14 seasons in the BBA between 2029-2042, where he collected One Allstar appearance (2031), One Yogi Zimmer Diamond Glove award in (2033), One time Silver Slugger award winner (2031), and (2038) Award winner for Playoff Round MVP. At the age of 35 Jose Estrada was provided a contract by the Beirut Cedars to join the UMEBA league. Estrada showed his leadership, and ability very quickly hitting 41 HR's and 126 RBI's in that first season with Beirut. Estrada was a quiet well mannered man who spoke in a soft tone, but when he spoke men would stop and listen. Although he only spent three seasons with the Cedars, Jose Estrada left his mark on the organization. 3rd all time in HR's (110), 3rd all time in RBI's (315), and still was a career .300 hitter. Estrada will be missed not only by the Beirut organization, but by the BBL, and UMEBA community!!!

Re: A legend calls it a Career!!
The fact that he only made 1 BBA all star game is kind of mind boggling in retrospect
