2045 Beirut Cedars Season

The Beirut cedars had a fantastic season this year. As expected they made the playoffs and had several players recognized for their achievements on the field. Unfortunately the season was cut short in the playoffs against Manama Pearls in game 7. It was a heck of a series and we had hoped to represent the division and confrence in the title game but that was not to be. The players played their hearts out, and the coaches did what they could but unfortunately the Cedars lost 4-3 in the decisive game 7 finally.
Fans and players left the stadium noticeably upset, and many of the players, especially the veterans new this would be the last time they had a chance at a UMEBA championship in a Cedars Uniform. The Cedars salary cap situation is not great and many of the high priced veterans contracts run out at the end of this year. With young Superstars like SP David Diaz, and CF Jamie Angwin it will be interesting to see what the team decides to do with Super star players Weaver Ripley CF, Charlie Iron-Knife SP and Rubem Bordonhos SS.
One thing is for sure, this team will look very different come next season, and the young players may need to step up and fill the roles that the veterans have manned for several years now. Will this be the end of the Beirut Success we have seen in recent years? Only time will tell.
