RF Wilton Rivera

In a game that lasted 15 innings stamina was going to be the winner, that stamina came from the Cedars Wilton Rivera.

Rivera had already claimed a Player of The Game Award in the 5-2 win over the Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers in the 2nd game of the season, in that game Rivera went 2 for 2 with a solo home run a walk and was hit by a pitch to get on base four times.

In this game it wasn't so much the whole performance but a single at bat that swung the vote his way in this game, the Pearls starting pitcher Thomas Rodriguez got Rivera to pop up in the 1st for an out he also did the same in the 4th but this time it dropped in for a single however Beirut couldn't take advantage. Rodriguez got the better of Rivera in the 6th, it was the turn of Netuno Markert to get the upper hand of Rivera striking him out in the 8th who had replaced Rodriguez in the 7th.

Rivera faced his 3rd pitcher of the game when Brian Soper took over the pitching duties for the Pearls in the 10th, again Rivera got under the ball too much and didn't disturb the scoreboard. Soper again would face Rivera in the 13th this time getting the Cedars outfielder strikeout swinging, however facing Momcilo Djuretic in the 15th Rivera made contact and with the help of a Rafael McKinna error scored Marcus Forryan from 2nd for the eventual game winning run.
