Beirut Dugout Dirt - Potato Farm Update

After a dismal 0-6 sim dropping the Cedars to 30-37 on the season, the Dirt staff decided to turn its focus today to the farm system. Today's look is at the Ulaanbaatar Horde Single A franchise.

The team last year was only known for having more vowels than starting pitchers and sported a 34-106 record. For the season to date, the Horde has started the 2040 season with a remarkable turnaround and a 38-24 record. This is already 4 more wins than they amassed during the entire 2039 campaign. With 24 players under the age of 22, the team has plenty of youth within the team including today's spotlight recipient, 17 year-old Alberto Romero.

Alberto was called up from the International League a month ago. During that month, Alberto has thrown pitches in 11 games, boasting 9 saves with a win, and 13 K's in 10.2 innings while amassing a 0.84 ERA. With potential ratings of 6/6/5 it remains to be seen how far he progresses in the organization. The chink in the armor to this point is Alberto issuing 6 walks in those 10.2 innings.
