The inaugural draft for the new Cedar front office has come and gone. We have been through drafts elsewhere before, but none like the Brewster version via OOTP20.
This is the initial thoughts of the 10 players drafted into the Cedar fold in 2040:
1. 1B Marco Acheson - Although it is well be-knownst that the contract talks may prove difficult, Marco's ratings were just too much for the Cedar front office to base up. With an 8 contact rating accompanying a 7 power rating from the left side of the plate, Marco's offensive production could be quite impressive.
2. LF Trent Mangan – Another lefty with a 7 power rating should provide some pop although the contact rating is only a 4.
3. P Ethan Eichele – On the pitching side of the ledger, southpaw Ethan’s 58 strikeouts in 46 innings and a 2.35 ERA gained the Cedar interest although the Stuff/Movement/Control of 5/2/4 has the Cedar hopeful wishing for a few lucky dev bumps along the way.
4. P Seb Donovan – Righthanded pitcher who boasted a 1.67 ERA with 45 K’s in 48 innings and has 4/5/6 Stuff/Movement/Control ratings
5. 2B Simon Ambrose – Speedy right handed middle infielder with a 5 contact rating and decent eye/avoiding K ratings,
6. LF Bernie Matheson – Computer generated pick with a .204 average and 3 contact/4 power ratings. Initial Cedar front office analysis is that the OOTP20 software developer should be fired.
7. LF Frazier Wood – Another computer generated pick with a .209 average and a 3 contact/5 power rating. Cedar front office is now scheduling a vasectomy for the OOTP software developer so he can no longer reproduce.
8. P Gavin Robilliard – Cedar front office finally gets off his butt and picks another southpaw fireballer that racked up 20 K’s in 24 innings and a 2.91 ERA accompanied by 4/6/6 ratings,
9. P Randy Fallon – Trying to stay with the fireballer trend, the Cedars then picked up another southpaw with 5/2/4 ratings that amassed a 1.82 ERA and 44 K’s in 39 innings.
10, 1B Zhang Shu – The last Cedar draft pick of 2040 was also a computer generated pick with a 4 contact/6 power rating with no stats in the system. Not as odd as the other .200 hitting picks on the initial look.
The self evaluation grade of the Beirut draft this year is a solid C, although it could get upgraded to a B or B+ if they can pull off the Acheson signing.

Hey, great write-up on the draft. It's really helpful if you link the players to their OOTP page, so we can quickly take a look at who you're talking about. PM me or hit me up on Slack if you need help figuring out how to do that.
