Beirut Dugout Dirt - Contenders or Pretenders?

After a rocky 1 - 5 start in 2040, the Beirut Cedars have managed to climb back to .500 with a 21-21 record. It has the Potato Patch faithful pondering where the remainder of the 2020 season will take the Cedars.
While a few of the faithful may be feeling giddy, let's ponder the following breakdown of the Cedar's record of each team within the UMEBA:
BANC League
JER 3 - 6
BUC 5 - 7
MUM 4 - 5
BURT League
BGH 1 - 2
MAN 3 - 0
IST 3 - 0
CAI 2 - 1
So the good news is that the Cedars have matched up favorably against 4 out of the 7 teams, the bad news is that the three teams posing problems are all in the same half of the UMEBA as Beirut. Time will tell if the Beirut can figure out any answers to the other teams in the BANC. With Beirut still holding on tightly to the purse strings to fit within their longer term strategy, some insiders are wondering if there was much hope for figuring out the answers to two out of those three teams.
