Green Knights No More?

Post by Rubaboo » Thu Feb 28, 2019 9:39 am

After a 2037 season that saw the UMEBA hastily throw together 8 teams and play half a season with whatever logos and jerseys could be scraped together on short notice, BBA GM Matt Rectenwald announced to the league that he would like the teams to rebrand in a more deliberate sense before the 2038 season begins. Beirut, who won the Bancroft League pennant in the UMEBA's inaugural season, were the Green Knights in year 1 but the team has announced that it will be tapping the history of the region for its permanent moniker.

In a press conference, a team spokesman made the following announcement:
"The storied history of our city and our country can be traced back to biblical times. As such, we thought that it would be prudent to tap into that history when searching for a team name. We spent countless hours working and thinking and debating (often heatedly) before coming to a consensus. The Green Knights name served us well for the first UMEBA campaign but going forward the team will be renamed and rebranded as the Cedars."

Yes, the famous Lebanon Cedar trees from the bible will be the inspiration for the UMEBA squad that plays in the city. As the spokesman walked away from the podium, a projector put the following emblem on the wall behind:

Thanks, me too. It always takes me forever to find logos and do jerseys because I'm picky about it. This one was a random find after quite a bit of Google searching.

Yeah, I'm the same way. I'm working on a logo for Bangkok(AA) right now. I know exactlly how I want to do it. I just can't articulate the logo to look like what's in my head. It's frustrating.

Ha. Sounds like you need a graphic designer. If I still worked at FedEx Office you can bet I'd be hitting up my people there for logo design help.
