Unfortunately been kinda MIA past month, so missed mid-season report but thanks to a newer laptop I hope to have more time to keep up on all this. Still gotta figure out what works best for me with these.
August was a decent month for your Istanbul Bosphorus who closed the month going 13-14, with a overall record of 57-74. They currently sit in 3rd place in the Burt (6 games behind division leader Cairo) and 2 games behind Manama for the Wildcard. As Istanbul fans know, the Bosphorus have never made the playoffs in their 4 year history.
32 year old CF Héctor Correa leads the team in average, at .257. He has a state line of .257/.380/.372 with 10 home runs. 36 year old C Luis Miguel Carrillo with 27. Unfortunately it seems to be HR or bust for Carrillo this season. He's batting .194/.337/.418.
Bernardino 'Two Shoes' Bertoletti is 5 games better in the win department then than 3 others who are tied at 7. Bertoletti has a 4.77 ERA over 175.1 innings pitched this season.
"We are in a 'do whatever it takes to make the playoffs' mode. We know our fans are looking for some post season action" said the GM. "While the record may state otherwise, we've had a decent season so far. Only 6 games out of division lead and 2 from wildcard." With just over a month left in the season, every game counts for Istanbul.
With September meaning so much, I hope to have a small report for each sim.

Re: 2040.03 - August Review
The Burt League is not the most inspiring set of clubs this year, but that's no reason for the Bosphorus to not take advantage of it. Quite interesting races going on in the UMEBA.
