Manama Tribune
The Manama Pearls have finalized their 2042 draft class and the early buzz around the front office is nothing but energetic.
The incoming class seems to have a tremendous upside, and GM Lowery has high praise for the high schoolers that might just be wearing a Pearls jersey soon, "I like these guys. We sought out these young men because they don't act like kids. We want mature, hard-working leaders that want to play ball. This incoming class is tremendous on and off the field."
Here at the Manama Tribune, we break down the incoming class, make some bold long-term predictions, and guess if the amateurs will sign or head off to college:
2042 Draft Notes:
- First-Round Pick, LF Anthony Fuller is probably going to never move out of the left side of the outfield, but that bat has loads of pop in it. The Pearls aren't lacking in the power department and the outfield is already a little crowded with young prospects. This is going to be an interesting couple of years for GM Lowery to navigate.
- Second-Round Pick, 1B Philip Waymouth is having a horrible year slashing .167 / .235 / .358, but the front office thinks he just needs better coaching.
- Third-Round Pick, SP Bruno Bugbie has had the privilege of being drafted TWICE by the Manama Pearls... he was drafted in the second round of the 2041 draft by the Pearls, and now drafted in the third round a year later.
