We round out our look at hitters in the UMEBA with a tally of right fielders. All referenced 2046 stats are current as of 7/07.

Éamon Sherrill (45/60), Athens

The Centaurs appear to have something special on their hands in Sherrill. Athens drafted the East London native last year out of college (where he put up a 198 OPS+). While defensively he's just okay, Sherrill does nearly all his damage at the plate. This left handed hitter has the makings of a great one in the Unified, with power potential said to be very high. So far this year he's leading his team in home runs and RBI, posting a 130 OPS+ and 2.4 WAR. A bright spot for the struggling Centaurs that gives fans hope for the future.

José Figueroa (50/50), Jerusalem

This twenty-seven year-old Venezuelan entered the BBA as an international amateur free agent, receiving a hefty $6.4M signing bonus from Calgary. He would debut for the Pioneers in 2040 at the age of twenty-one, and would look good (OPS+ 121, WAR 3.5). He would struggle to match that level of production, however, coming closest in '43 for Chicago (OPS+ 134, WAR 2.7). By the time Chicago traded him to Twin Cities prior to the '45 season, he still looked like a starter in the outfield. That year, split between Twin Cities and Sacramento, would be unremarkable (OPS+103 / WAR 1.3). Jerusalem signed Figueroa to a two-year deal this past offseason. So far in '46, a season marred by injuries, he's contributed a 118 OPS+ and 1.6 WAR in 65 appearances.

Fernando Archuleta (50/50), Bucharest

Archuleta's BBA career was brief and forgettable. In three years he accumulated a 70 OPS+ and -0.3 WAR. The Talca, Chile native signed a three-year deal with Bucharest before the 2045 season. A very good corner outfielder, the only question was whether his sub-par performance at the plate would improve in the Unified. In '45, signs were hopeful (OPS+ 104, WAR 2.3). This year, in his age twenty-six season, Archuleta looks to be improving on that mark with an OPS+ of 113 and WAR of 1.4.

Sadaharu 'Little Hammer' Oh III (45/45), Manama

Huntsville drafted Oh in 2034, and traded him to Las Vegas the following summer. He would play for Vegas in four BBA seasons, and Portland in three, accumulating a 118 OPS+ and 7.3 WAR in that league. Istanbul signed him prior to the '43 season. In an All-Star year, Oh would put up a stratospheric 182 OPS+ and 7.6 WAR. Contraction would bring Oh to Manama, where he would put up good numbers, but he would not achieve the heights of '43 again. So far in '46 Oh has posted a 112 OPS+ and 1.3 WAR in 67 appearances as he competes with a host of left-handed bats in the Manama outfield for playing time.

Wilton Rivera (45/45), Beirut

Like a lot of former BBA players on UMEBA rosters, Rivera was called up at a young age, and flamed out before he even turned thirty. He had a solid career in the BBA (two-time All-Star) before crashing in 2041 (a fractured hand suffered in '39 likely didn't help). Beirut signed Rivera to a three-year deal in the winter of '42. The change of scenery seemed to be just what he needed, as he returned to All-Star form in '43, '44, and '45. Rivera remains a good fielder and effective hitter. So far in 2046, Rivera's age thirty-two season, he's putting up numbers suitable for a regular starter, but not quite All-Star worthy (OPS+ 113, WAR 1.2).

Blake Bell (45/45), Baghdad

Bell is a recent addition to the Kings, but looks like he's slotting in as their everyday right fielder. The twenty-six year-old Australian was drafted by Istanbul with the first pick in the first UMEBA amateur draft. He would never play for Istanbul, as they traded him a few months later to Jerusalem. Bell would debut for the Hammers in 2042 and play for them into '46, but wouldn't have a standout full season in Jerusalem. He started off white hot this year, though, with a 133 OPS+ and 1.0 WAR in just 30 games for the Hammers, who then traded him to Baghdad in exchange for third base prospect Miguel Moya. In 21 starts for the Kings he's looked less impressive (OPS+ 97, WAR 0.1).

Luis González (45/50), Mumbai

Huntsville / Chicago drafted González out of high school in 2037. They traded him a year and a half later to California / Sacramento in what in retrospect looks like a one-sided deal. González would debut for the Crusaders in 2040, his age twenty-one season, would perform well in 137 appearances (OPS+ 133, WAR 2.7), and would play well enough in the BBA to stick around for five seasons in all, though consistently high production would remain out of reach. Another trade would bring him to Long Beach, where his BBA career would unceremoniously end after González tallied a 0.6 WAR in '44. The Surfers released him early the next season. González would sign on with Mumbai two weeks later. In his partial UMEBA season last year, he slashed .291/.339/.498 for an OPS+ of 119. So far this year, in full-time duty, he's not performed at that level (OPS+ 104, WAR 0.4), but may just need time to acclimate.

Kevin MacKeith (45/45), Tripoli

MacKeith played for six seasons in the BBA, all with Montreal, where he accumulated a 131 OPS+ and 12.0 WAR. After two down years, it appeared his big league career was over (lingering issues stemming from a fractured thumb suffered in April of '41 possibly the cause of the downturn in production). The Tripoli organization signed him to a minor league deal in '44 not a week after his release. While he tore up the league in a partial '44 season (OPS+ 137, WAR 2.3), it's been downhill since (OPS+102, WAR 1.2 in '45, and OPS+ 94, WAR 0.4 so far in '46).

José Cardona (40/40), Riyadh

Part of the Crescents' mix and match outfield, Cardona has just twenty-five starts at the position, but pinning down a single 'right fielder' in Riyadh is a fool's errand. Cardona is a capable hitter, but something of a liability in the outfield. He was drafted by Brooklyn just five years ago. The Robins thought so little of him that they let him go just a year and a day later. Bucharest brought him to the UMEBA roughly three weeks after his release by the Robins. Bucharest also gave up on him and released him last May. Riyadh picked him up off the discard heap this winter. So far this year, Cardona's posted a 126 OPS+ and 0.5 WAR in 26 appearances.

Guillermo Ramírez (40/45), Cairo

The Cairo right field situation is similarly murky. Ramírez has twenty-five starts in right for the Pharaohs, and we couldn't find somebody on the roster with more. Drafted in 2037 and waived in '44 by Phoenix, Ramírez never had a BBA at-bat. Beirut signed him to their minor league system last year, and let him go last fall. The Pharaohs signed him last winter. A slightly below average fielder who's never hit like scouts feel he's capable of, the twenty-six year-old Panamanian is slashing .239/.305/.410 on the year, for a 90 OPS+ and -0.2 WAR.
