UMEBA: Blowouts(FUBAR), Blowups, and walk offs Sim 24

As we wind down the season and look towards the playoffs it was a quiet week for our column despite some interesting games.

August 8, 2043
Libyan 1 Kuwait City 2 WALK OFF
KC completes the sweep of the Generals but this time instead of a blow out they wait until the bottom of the ninth win the game. In the final inning it was three consecutive singles by Ripley, Bordonhos, and Ginn with one out that ended the game. The Generals stranded six of their seven base runners in the game.

August 11, 2043
Libyan 15 Jerusalem 4 BLOW OUT
The Generals scored seven runs over the first three innings then they scored seven more in the in the fifth inning. Rivera was 3-6 with two doubles, a homer, and four RBI while his teammate Bradley was 4-5 with two doubles and two RBI. Serres won his 12th game of the year allowing all four Hebrew Hammers runs over seven innings. Jerusalem starter Ito didn't make it out of the third inning.

August 14, 2043
Manama 0 Mumbai 1 WALK OFF
It's not often you see a 1-0 walk off. That means the game was scoreless for a minimum of eight and a half innings and usually there is some great pitching involved. Even more rare is a 1-0 walk off that ends with a sac fly. With one out in the bottom of the ninth the Metro Stars got a single from Goulding followed by a Bullock double. With runners on second and third Olvere flied out to right field and Goulding scored the winning run.
Montreal Blazers(BBA) 2044~2047(353-295, .545 W%)
2045 Wildcard(lost in one round)
2046 Atlantic Champs(lost in one round)
