UMEBA: Blowouts(FUBAR), Blowups, and walk offs Sim 19

Slow week for us as Jerusalem visited Libyan and kept things pretty well in check, they were competitive at least in most games.

August 4, 2043
Athens 4 Baghdad 5 13 INN WALK OFF
To start the sim we had a 13 inning game that came in just short of five hours. Cruz was the hero for the Kings with an RBI double in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game at four and then an RBI single in the bottom of the 13th to win it. The Baghdad pitchers didn't allow a run to the Fighting Centaurs after the fifth inning.

August 6, 2043
Bucharest 10 Jerusalem 0 BLOW OUT
Esparza led off the game with a home run for the Impalers and that is all they would need as the Hebrew Hammers recorded just four hits and one walk leaving six men on base. Bucharest would tack on nine more runs in the contest in support of Hansen who won his 14 game of the season and pitched a complete game, shut out.

August 7, 2043
Athens 7 Mumbai 8 10 INN WALK OFF
The second walk off loss of the sim for Athens played out much like the first one did. The Fighting Centaurs scored a bunch early and then allowed their opponent(Mumbai in this one) to claw back into the game and eventually win. The Metro Stars banged out 16 hits, 13 of them singles, on their way to victory. Oliveraz, who had three hits on the day including two triples, had the ever exciting walk off sac fly in the bottom of the 10th.

August 10, 2043
Beirut 26 Jerusalem 7 BLOW OUT
The Cedars score seven runs in the first inning and four in the second to take an 11-0 lead over the Hammers and never looked back. They punched 27 hits and drew eight walks to scrore 26 runs over a helpless Jerusalem squad. Baca and Ricerdo each had three hits and five RBI in the contest. Four of the five Jerusalem pitchers gave up at least four runs including Aquilar who gave up five runs in just 2/3 of an inning of work.
