UMEBA Team Previews for 2042 Media Guide

If any GMs are interested in doing UMEBA previews for the media guide, let me know and I can walk you thru what’s needed, although you get some autonomy on how you want to write them.

For the BBA last year, we had two GMs do the team previews, 16 apiece, split by league…last year one person did all eight UMEBA previews, so we can have one person do all 10 or if we get two takers, split into leagues for just five apiece. Let me know!

Bucharest Impalers 97-65
If your going to score over a 1000 runs in a season then your in with a shout of finishing top of your division, that's what the Impalers did in 2041 with 1004 to be exact beating the previous record of 1003 that Jerusalem chalked up in 2038 on there way to a United Cup Championship. However Bucharest couldn't get their hands on the United Cup, losing 4-2 in the UCC series to the Istanbul Bosphorus.

The majority of the team returns in 2042 with line up and rotation unlikely to change much if at all 3B Jeffery Cunningham in the twilight of his career at the age of 33, will be hopeful of keeping his title as the best third base in the UMEBA. As will SS Brian Sullivan and RF Mike McCain both who are ranked the best at their position in the UMEBA, although with only LF Prímio Anastcia below the age of 30 within the line up its up to their GM Jim Cox is it a case of set the reset button or is it once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more.

Dillon, for detailed one-offs you can certainly earn PP by posting a team preview (or two) in the Preview forum (viewforum.php?f=77).

Pretty much finished Bucharest just need to read it over really, I'd like to do the Athens one for obvious personal reasons. Think with a handful of us doing them be best if we posted which teams we'd like to do or we could end up with 5 Bucharest previews.

It is kind of weird to write that I have hardly even glanced at the UMEBA big league squad. My focus has been all about shoring up the minor leagues...at least as much as I can. There are a bunch of holes to patch up there. And it made me optimistic. That optimism was dimmed considerably when I started looking at the big league squad!

Still, thank you for linking to that great sample media guide. I'll try to base it off of that, and it'll be helpful for me too, as I'm sure I'll learn a lot in the process.

I think they like the guide published for Opening Day but don't quote me, with being stuck at home I'm not sure what day it is but that's usually the case lockdown or no lockdown but look at it as a paragraph a day, that's nothing.
