HOF Talk: Lorenzo de' Medici

So the guy made a dozen All-Star teams? So what, right? And who cares about four Egans and three more times on in the top three. And then there’s the fact that he, O’Macken, and that dude from Rockville pretty much defined the role of stopper in those early years.
My thoughts on him in the other thread:
51 WAR in 20 years as a reliever will kinda do that. Career K-rate of 38%. Those were heady days for relievers. Anymore stoppers get discounted. But back in the day, man … back in the day, guys like de’ Medici made All-Star teams.
A lot of them.

My thoughts on him in the other thread:
I admit I’ve begrudgingly come fully to de’ Medici’s dark side.Lorenzo de' Medici: I voted for him last time. I'll vote for him again. But I could be argued out of it. I view him as a creation of his time, but the fact is that he played when Ks mattered the most, and he was a K monster. Go figure.
