HOF Talk: Ricardo Rivera

From 2042-2046, Ricardo Rivera was about as good as it gets. If you want to stretch that to 2050, I’d have a hard time arguing with you. Dude won a pair of Nebraska Awards, and was pretty much lights-out in the postseason. Time and injuries caught up to him, though.
So here’s the question: In these more modern days, is 150 wins the new 200?
And if so, what do you make of River’s 147?
I don’t know. The problem, of course, is that when he dropped of, he really dropped off. And an 8-season mega-career is right on the edge, you know? And those last few years were kinda sad. Still, he finished with 68 WAR. I’m thinking he’s on my ballot, but I’ll admit I’m straddling the edge here. Maybe I’ll wait another year? (Of course, then you risk him not being there next year.
It's a quandary, I say. A quandry.
So, have at it. Make your case. I’m all ears.
