Probably best known for his days in Yellow Springs to start his career, de Castillo was one of the big name departures (along with HOFer Lawrence Columbus LaLoosh) that some felt might signal the end of the Yellow Springs dynasty, such as the respect he held throughout the league. He actually had a respectable second half, including 3 straight pucketts following his departure and actually put up a 2 WAR season at age 36 before ending his career with more than respectable counting numbers.
