It's hard to think of Mark Dempsey without thinking about New Orleans, and vice versa. Solid hitter, brilliant in the field as a young man and workable as he got older. The Hot Corner seems to be a bit of a tough sell for BBA voters, and his "Standards" say he's got a bit of an uphill climb. I'm going to be interested in this one.

Don't think he was good enough in his 20's to make up for him being banged up in his 30's.

Dempsey was removed from the ballot due to size constraints in previous seasons. He'll return this year.

This is Mark Dempsey's 6th season on the ballot. His support has managed to keep him there, but seems lukewarm.
