Another guy who is way before my time, but whose WAR is interesting. To be honest, I thought we had voted on him once before. Actually, we did...so
here's another thread on him. ... and they say you only go around once in life, eh?
Anyway, he's got a lot of WAR and I think we're going to see what it's good for. Of course, WAR, being a counting stat, can be a bit overdone in an era that saw guys like Braggo throwing 260 innings. Played most of his career in Chicago pre-Vinnie. He was a solid 7 WAR kind of pitcher for a long time. The standard numbers are borderline low, but I'm open to conversation.
