# Kharlamov's case is interesting. It's sometimes easy to forget how good he was in his youth because he stuck around so long as an older player. He was sublime in the early days with Indy, posting a couple 7+ WAR seasons. His glove was dazzling, and the bat flashy. Injuries and age wore him down, but not so much he couldn't make an impact with the Pikemen during peak Rockville years. 68.4 WAR would seem to make "the Ankle" a lock--but admittedly those 68 were created over 21 years, and admittedly the Standard Scores don't all pop. I would expect name recognition won't hurt the case at all.

Regardless, this is a solid baseball player, and a name that was infused with the era he played in.

7 pucketts and 4 zimmers make the strong case for a great all-around player. Will be a yes from me in all likelihood but need a closer look

Thank you @usnspecialist and @RonCo for your HoF research contributions...really helps, especially for those of us who weren't part of the league when players were active.

Better than the Metrics. Dominate player at his position during career.

His rate numbers would look better if he hadn't played those last couple years.

Valeri was a monster in his early-mid 20s, and I will probably end up voting for him, but I did pass on him this year.

Hot take: Once he turned 26, outside a couple outlier seasons in , Valeri was an average 2B. And he hung on for years on name value alone (0.7 WAR per year and sub 90 OPS+ from 2035-2040)

Kharmalov received 59% of the vote last season. He has six seasons left on the ballot.

He was the dominant 2B for his time. I don't understand why he wasn't voted in his first year. He has the awards, everything but the OBA.
