# Morales is a major peak kind of candidate, as from 2002-2007 he dropped down some of what have to be the best seasons ever recorded by a third baseman--a string of WAR seasons that registered 7.0/6.9/5.7/4.8/9.5/7.3 (yes, 9.5!). Quite honestly, that has to be one of the top 10 6-year stints in the history of the league, doesn't it (he says, not knowing at all). The problem, of course, is that four seasons later he was out of baseball. Definitely looking forward to the discussion about Paco from those guys who would really know.

Who won the Silk the year he had a 9.5? Sheesh.

Anyway, yeah, great peak. But he may of needed a little more of something. Longevity, a Silk or 2. Metrics aren't bad for the short stint. But I'm not sure I can vote for him.
