To be honest with folks, while I like Sam Romero as well as the next guy, and I'm understanding he does great charity work...well, I'm not really seeing him in the hall of fame. That said, for four seasons he was probably about as good as anyone around, including 2031 where he won 23 games, led the league in strike outs, and drew a second place finish in the Nebraska voting. If you're voting on peak seasons, that was one for the ages. Alas, that kid of performance didn't last.
