Here's the place to talk about the career of:

Esteban Contreras

First Base

Active Career: 2019-2036 (18 seasons)
1815 hits, 439 HR, 1222 RBI, .259/.352/.493 40.7 WAR
Charles Pucket Golden Bat Winner
3-Time All-Star
3-Time Zimmer

Hall of Fame Metrics: (average HoF)
JAWS: 36.6 (56)
Black Ink: 7 (23)
Gray Ink: 69 (53)
HOF Standards: 32 (53)
HOF Monitor: 48 (126)
# Solid hitter with Montreal for most of his career. Deadly during his peak, but that was a fairly short period. He was productive for several more years before fading pretty hard at age 34. Seems to me like he's more of a "Hall of Good" than anything else, but I'll be interested to see what the consensus is.

I think you nailed it. Good player overall, great at times, stunk others, short peak. Not HOF material.
