Here's the place to talk about the career of: Jonathan Bowen

Relief Pitcher

Active Career: 2021-2035 (15 seasons)
75-85, 356 saves, 3.21 ERA, 1017 IP, 1055 K 1.08 WHIP, 13.8 WAR
Jason Egan Award: 2032
6-Time All-Star

Hall of Fame Metrics: (average HoF)
JAWS: 17.4 (14)
Black Ink: 2 (34)
Gray Ink: 44 (162)
HOF Standards: 49 (49)
HOF Monitor: 99 (123)
# Bowen was a fixture at the back end of the Birmingham/San Antonio bullpen, throwing solid ERAs in a sharply offensive ballpark (and in divisions of the same). In a profession where uncertainty rules, Bowen was the mark of reliability. HOF Stanards says he stacks up well enough to other relievers, though the save numbers aren't as gaudy. It would be interesting to measure if he led the league in % of his teams wins saved. Interseting candidate.

He may get in later. Not sure if he was dominant enough, even if his HOF metrics line up well.

He never gets in. Be surprised if he ever finishes higher than 10th on a ballot. Mainly just because of the lack of save numbers and he's a reliever!
