Hall of Fame Candidate Thread: Frank Thomas III
Here's the place to talk about the career of:
Frank "Little Hurt" Thomas III
First Base
Active Career: 2016-2035 (20 seasons)
3732 hits, 503 HR, 1911 RBI, .319/.398/.517 85.6 WAR
Sawyer Silk Award: 2017, 2018
Joe Gillstrom ROY 2017
6-Time Charles Pucket Golden Bat
12-Time All-Star
Hall of Fame Metrics: (average HoF)
JAWS: 65 (55)
Black Ink: 61 (22)
Gray Ink: 268 (105)
HOF Standards: 68 (53)
HOF Monitor: 281 (123)
# Look, the guy only stole 7 bases his whole career. Are we going to allow that kind of goings on to make it into the Hall? I mean, seriously, am I right? I mean who cares if he's perhaps the best right handed hitter who walked the planet for awhile? That he was the face of the league, better yet Carolina? You have to have your standards, I say. Seven steals? Sheesh.

I'm strongly considering voting for him despite the 7 steals. I blame our managers.
In the meantime he's going right in my personnel.

Re: Hall of Fame Candidate Thread: Frank Thomas III
you have to be a very special bat to be a slam dunk HOF guy without ever putting a glove on at the BBA level. FT3 was that asnd more. About the only thing he didnt do (initial post aside) was trot out to the mound at the start of a game.RonCo wrote: ↑Mon Aug 27, 2018 6:39 pmHere's the place to talk about the career of: Frank "Little Hurt" Thomas III
