Hall of Fame Candidate Thread: Jorge Stanza

Post by RonCo » Mon Aug 27, 2018 6:23 pm

Here's the place to talk about the career of: Jorge "T-Bone" Stanza
Image
Starting Pitcher

Active Career: 2018-2035 (18 seasons)
187-118, 3.40 ERA, 1630 K, 60.6 WAR
Nebraska Award: 2030
3-Time All-Star

Hall of Fame Metrics: (average HoF)
JAWS: 51.8 (72)
Black Ink: 15 (34)
Gray Ink: 122 (162)
HOF Standards: 34 (49)
HOF Monitor: 74 (125)
# In 2030, STanza turned in one of the stronger seasons in modern league history, winning 24 games for Montreal--his long-time home. His reputation was as a bit of a junkballer-lefty. A series of injuries in 2032 and 2033 brought about bit of a premature end to a steady and productive career.

Stanza is one of my favorite stories, though, since I once called that he'd be the second best pitcher in the 2015 draft.
