Nelson Ramirez was a meance to hitters for twelve seasons in the Brimingham/San Antonio franchise before a torn flexor tendon put a stop to things in 2033. He tried to come back, but the slider never quite slid the same way. Three Nebraskas say it all, though...and despite a bit lower wincount than some other candidates, his HoF Metrics give a pretty strong case for him.

Re: Hall of Fame Candidate Thread: Nelson Ramirez
Try not to be too harsh on his low win count, he played for some shitty offensive teams in San Antonio and I should know

Re: Hall of Fame Candidate Thread: Nelson Ramirez
I'm not. Metrics aren't quite there and the wins aren't. But he won 3 Nebraska's and was a top pitcher for a long time. Didn't last as long as some and the fall was quick. But to me, he's in.

Re: Hall of Fame Candidate Thread: Nelson Ramirez
I can understand the logic and if he were my guy (Jessie Wright) I'd argue yes. But because of that and the precedence we have on this I have to vote no.

Bumping for continued eligibility. Ramirez received 53% of the vote last season.
