Re: MBWBA Team Mottoes of 2003 - In Song
Ha, this is awesome. I only say that because of the little note that said it isn't fair to me.http://baseballretrospective.com/MBBA/phpBB3/posting.php?mode=reply&f=23&t=3917&sid=9f147ea1f45da0f826450028ebf858c5# Division rivalries are good though. Maybe next year my song can be Breakaway by Kelly Cl...

Funny. Nice to have a young 1B with power potential, but, hate to give up Wilkinson. Helps us both. Good luck.

Amateur Draft 2nd Round Update
The Phoenix Talons selected P Jose Marquez with their 2nd round pick (50th overall). Marquez projects as a bottom of the rotation starter. More of a junk ball pitcher, the Iowan has a strong work ethic and is a bright young man. Welcome to Phoenix Jose!

Re: Amateur Draft Update
I am leaning towards CF. His OF range is 17. The other things I love about him are that he will work the count and his gap power. Big fan of gap power when a guy has a high contact rating. Should hit a lot of doubles. Feeling pretty good about the pick.

Amateur Draft Update
The Phoenix Talons, with the 15th pick in the 1st round select SS Wei-quo Chong . Chong was coveted by Talons management for the way he handles his bat. He projects out as a leadoff type hitter with gap power. Defensively the thought is that he will end up in the outfield someday. Phoenix's next pic...

Thanks for the reinforcement. Still learning as we go here. For some reason, he kept standing out as the one to pick.

New Talon on the Block
He's available
Looking for pitching. Starters and Relievers. Doesn't matter. My whole team is available except for Klopp, McConnell, Palabra and Wilkinson.

Re: MBBA Draft is set up and ready to go
Drafted Wei-quo Chong. He is a SS who I expect to convert to a CF down the road. Projects as lead off or number two type with gap power.

Re: 2003 Sim #1 Chatter Thread
3-5 start is ok considering my league file was corrupt and my actual roster never made it. Was hoping for .500 or better. Kind of bummed, but, I am new to this. It's early yet.

Any help would be great. Not sure what is going on. I had my roster set down to 27 and lineups and rotation all set. Had minors setup. Damn.

Re: DH Discussion redux - the final battle
I have mixed feelings about the DH. Dying through Brewer seasons my whole life (until recently) I've watched both DH and non DH pretty closely. I like the DH to keep an aging superstar in the league that maybe has lost his fielding skills but can still rake. On the other hand, I LOVE the increased s...

Talking Talons Vol 1 Issue 3
The season opener is right around the corner. After a 15-9 record in Spring Training, excitement is at a new high. Here are some notes on this years Talons. New Faces 1B Robin Larker - Larker, who was acquired from Louisville for veteran SP Sammy Bodeen, will see limited action at first base this se...
